Unable to connect to Wi-Fi:

Possible causes for this issue:

• Password entered might be incorrect or misspelled.
• Check whether you are connecting to right network/router .
• Check whether Aeroplane mode is turned off.

Troubleshooting :

  • Check whether Wi-Fi password you are entering is correct. Wi-Fi passwords are case sensitive so try to enter them in correct manner.
  • While entering password, make sure you select Show password so that you can enter case sensitive passwords while viewing it below.
  • Check if you’re selecting right Wi-Fi network and then enter password.
  • If you are having an error ‘Authentication Failed’ then double check your password and try again. If this issue still persists, manually turn off your mobile data and Wi-Fi on your phone and switch your phone to Aeroplanemode.
  • While Aeroplane mode is on switch on try connecting phone to Wi-Fi again.After the phone gets connected to Wi-Fi turn off your Aeroplane mode.
  • If still this issue persists, try to turn Off/On your Wireless router and your XP6 and try connecting again.

Unable to transfer the files from XP6 via Bluetooth to other device and vice versa

  Possible causes for this issue:

• Bluetooth visibility set only to paired devices or visibility set off
• Memory full

Troubleshooting:

  • Try to connect new phone, headset to your XP6 by following these  settings, Menu > Settings > Wireless & Networks > Bluetooth > Turn on. After turning on your Bluetooth, tap on XP6700 set visibility to Visible to all nearly devices (1:59)’ and Scan for new devices.
  •   If your pairing device name appears on aavailable devices, tap on device name and tap Pair on other device screen and check whether pairing code matches so that your phone will be paired to other device (Pairing device must be kept as visible).
  • If unable to send any media files through Bluetooth, make sure that you have enough space on paired device. If no space is available, try to clear some storage space on paired device.
  • Unable to send any files to paired device, turn your Bluetooth Off/On and search again.
  • If still having any issue, go to Menu > Settings > Wireless & Networks > Bluetoothh and you can find paired device name in PAIRED DEVICES. Tap on settings icon beside name and tap Unpair to forget that device. Try again to pair and check whether it works.
  • If issue still persists, try to reboot your phone.
  • If you are still having issues, contact Sonim Support.

GPS isn't showing accurate search result.

Possible causes for this issue:
• Location services might be turned off on your phone.
• Location mode set to basic
• No data connection
• Navigation or Maps application software issue.

Troubleshooting:

  • Check whether your XP6 location is turned on. Menu > Personal > Location must be turned on for accurate GPS lock.
  • Sometimes even when GPS location is turned on, you might have issues with GPS accuracy. Check Location mode to see whether high accuracy is selected. Menu > Personal > Location > Tap Mode > Select High accuracy.
  • Note: High accuracy consumes more battery.
  • If your data plan is disabled, you cannot get accurate GPS location on your phone.
  • If you are using any third party GPS application, make sure you always update the application from Google Play store.
  • If you are still having issue, reboot your phone and check whether issue has been resolved.
  • If the issue persists, reset the device back to default factory setting by factory resetting your XP6 by following these options,  Menu > Settings > Personal > Backup & reset > Factory data reset >  Tap reset phone
  • Factory resetting your phone can solve this issue,  back up all your contacts, messages, photos, videos etc and factory reset the phone.

2. Application crashes while trying to make a phone call?

             Possible causes for this issue:

  • Data might have been cached on your dialler app.
Troubleshooting:
  • You can go to Settings > Apps > you can see three categories on top Downloaded, Running and All.
  • You need to select All and select Dailer
  • After selecting dailer, you can find Clear data and Clear Cache.
  • You can press Clear data and Clear Cache, It comes up with pop up that says ‘’ Delete app data’’ you can select okay.
  • You can go back to main screen and try making a phone call to check whether the error still persists.
  • If the error still persists, try to restart your phone.
  • Please contact Sonim Support if this issue still persists.
