How to set up enterprise email on your Sonim XP6?

 Troubleshooting:

  • The following information is required to set up your Exchange account on Sonim XP6. Contact your IT Administrator for this information.
  1. Exchange Server address (Most likely be OWA address)
  2. User name and password for the account
  3. Port number and Security type of your account.
  • Go to Menu > Settings > Add an account > Select Corporate, POP, IMAP or Exchange.
  • Enter your email and password and tap Next.
  • Enter your Server address, Port number and security type (Security type most likely to be SSL/TLS) and Tap Next.
  • After Authentication, select whether you want to Push mails, Sync contacts, Sync calendar and tap Next.
Note: Make sure your Domain/username is set up in exact format provided to you by your company.
  • If you have any problem accessing email, try to restart your phone and check whether you can access email.
  • Try to check your Sync settings, Go to Settings > Select your mail from Accounts and from top right hand corner Select Sync now.
  • Still having this issue, contact Sonim support.

Phone cannot sign into Google account?

Possible causes for this issue.

  • Internet data connection might not be available.
  • Your Google account password might be incorrect.
  • 2-Step verification might be enabled.
Troubleshooting:
  • Data plan or Wi-Fi with working internet should be available to login to your Google account.
  • From you phone, go to Browser and search www.google.com to check whether you have an access to internet.
  • Try signing in your Google account from a computer to check whether you can access it. If you cannot access your Google account, Restore User name and password.
  • If you had changed your password, go to Play Store to sign in. If it did not prompt for password, then clear cache from Gmail application (Check Application crashes while trying to make a phone call).
  • Check if 2-Step Verification is enabled on your account, and if it is, create app-specific password.
  • If still cannot sign in, restore the device back to factory settings.
  • After restoring device back to factory settings and issue not resolved then you can create a new Google account or Contact Google (http://www.google.com/contact/)

Internet APN (Access point name) settings for your Sonim XP6?

Troubleshooting:

  • When SIM card is inserted in your XP6, APN settings are directly installed on your phone. If APN settings are not configured, you cannot access mobile internet on your phone.
  • To setup internet manually on your Sonim XP6, follow below procedure.
  • From Menu > Settings >Wireless & Networks > Select More, Select Mobile networks and tap Access Point Names. From this option tap + on top of your screen to add an APN.
  • Get your networks APN details by contacting your network operator.
  • Enter your Network name, APN and Port options and right click select save.
  • If you still having issues setting mobile internet on you XP6, contact Sonim support with your APN settings.

Cannot access Google Play store?

Possible causes for this issue:

•  Google account issues
•  2-Step verification enabled on Google account
•  Phone not connected to internet.

Troubleshooting:

  • Make sure you enter correct Google credentials while logging into Google Play Store.
  • Check whether you have enabled 2-step verification on your Google account, if enabled turn it off and try again. Check whether issue is resolved.
  • Verify whether you have signed into Gmail account on your phone. Go to Settings > Accounts > Google. If you signed into Google account, you can see your email under accounts.
  • Clear Cache and data on your Google Play store account by following these settings- Menu > Settings > Apps > Tap Google Play Store > Tap clear data and clear cache. Now Power off your device and power it back on and check whether issue is resolved.
  • If the issue persists, reset the device back to default factory setting by factory resetting your XP6 by following these options, Menu > Settings > Personal > Backup & reset > Factory data reset > Tap reset phone.
  • factory resetting your phone can solve this issue, back up all your contacts, messages, photos, videos etc and factory reset the phone.
