Examine the device for any physical or water damage.
Restart your XP7 by press and holding power key. Check whether the issue has been resolved after restarting.
If this issue still persists, try to power your device in Safe mode by following below steps.
Press and hold power key for 2 seconds until Power off and Aeroplane Mode com.es on your screen.
Touch Power off for 2 seconds, until Reboot to Safe Mode appears on your screen and press Ok.
Device now restarts in Safe mode, check whether still your device restarts randomly.

SIM card not recognizing on XP7
Possible causes of this issue:
SIM card may not be activated
SIM card may not be inserted properly or damaged
Phone locked to specific network
Hardware issue with phone
Software needs to be upgraded
Troubleshooting:
Try to remove SIM card and check whether SIM card has any scratches or it’s damaged.
Try to insert SIM card in different phone and check whether SIM card is registering on that device.
With SIM card inserted, try to turn on/off your XP7 by holding Power key and touch Power off and after it’s completely powered off. Press Power key to restart and check whether the issue is resolved.
Restore the device back to factory settings by going to Menu > Settings > Personal > Backup & reset > Select Factory data reset > Touch Reset Phone. Before you perform this operation make sure you backup all contacts, videos, photos to a computer or cloud drive. After your XP7 reboots, check whether SIM card is recognizing on your phone.

Setting up internet settings for your Sonim XP7?
Troubleshooting:
When SIM card is inserted in your XP7, APN settings are directly installed on your phone. If APN settings are not configured, you cannot access mobile internet on your phone.
To setup internet manually on your Sonim XP7, follow below procedure.
From Menu > Settings >Wireless & Networks > Select More, Select Mobile networks and touch Access Point Names. From this option touch + on top of your screen to add an APN.
Get your networks APN settings by contacting your network operator.
Enter your Network name, APN and Port options and select save from top option.
If you still having issues setting mobile internet on you XP7, contact Sonim support with your APN settings.
