Battery performance issues

Your XP8 battery has a limited life cycle after which it has to be disposed off and a new one has to be installed. 

Consider battery as the fuel for your phone, the more resources you use on the phone the faster the battery will deplete. Few items on device that consume the most battery are : 

  1. Display
  2. Data Streaming/ Browsing
  3. Applications running in the background
  4. Network intensive operations

NOTE: The brighter the display is, higher the consumption of battery will be.The longer it is kept turned on, higher the consumption of the battery will be.

If you feel your phone's battery performance is not as good as it used to be, try following steps : 

  1. Check to see what apps/ features are using the highest amount of battery. You can check that from Settings > Battery
  2. If you have been charging your phone from a USB port on a computer, try charging from a wall socket and check if it makes any difference.
  3. Try battery calibration : to do that discharge your phone to the point where the device turns off. Once done try powering on the device again and leave it on until it goes off again on its own.
  4. Once the phone doesnt power on anymore, put it to charge on a wall socket and let it charge until the LED turns green.
